Child Support Assistant

Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Child Support Assistant to join a loving family in Morpeth, supporting a bright and curious 10-year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy outside of school hours.
You’ll be part of an established care team, working closely with supportive parents and grandparents to provide consistent, high-quality care in a nurturing environment.
What You’ll Need as a Child Support Assistant:
· A minimum of 6 months previous experience supporting children is essential (Peg trained)
· A genuine interest in active support and a commitment to helping the client achieve his personal goals.
· Excellent communication skills with a high standard of English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with the client and his wider care team.
· A full UK driving licence with no penalty points, and confidence in driving the client’s vehicle.
· Ability to build trust and rapport with the client and become a long-term member of his care team.
Your Responsibilities as a Child Support Assistant:
· Personal care, dressing, hygiene.
· PEG Nutrition and medication administration.
· Support with mobility and transitions
· Using Communication aids
· Managing sensory needs in busy settings
· Collaborating with family and care team
· Driving to activities and appointments
What you will be working as a Child Support Assistant:
· 21:00pm – 02:00am (sleep support)
· 02:00am – 09:00am (wake support)
· After School Care:
· 15:00pm – 19:00pm (weekdays)
Weekend Support:
· 08:00am – 18:00pm
