Bank Children’s Support Worker

Pay: From £18.22 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay

We are looking for experienced Children’s Support Workers to join the bank team at Granville Lodge in Hartlepool. Granville Lodge is a specialist residential and short break service for young people with complex life-long health conditions such as brain injuries, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities or other complex needs.

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing practical care and support to children and young people
- Helping them take part in everyday activities, play and outings
- Encouraging independence, choice and social interaction in ways suited to their age and needs
- Providing or prompting personal care when required
- Following individual support plans and keeping accurate records
What you’ll need:
- To be aged 18 or over
- At least six months of paid UK care or support experience within the last two years
- Have 6 months prior experience in a childrens complex care setting
- The right to work in the UK
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A caring, reliable and professional approach
