Bank Mental Health Support Worker

Pay: From £14.57 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay

We are looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers to join the bank team at Blackburn Road & Bilberry Lodge in Blackburn.
Blackburn Road is a specialist residential care home for adults with mental health needs. Bilberry Lodge is a new specialist adult mental health residential service for women over the age of 18 years old with a range of complex mental health conditions.
You’ll support people with a range of mental health needs, helping them feel safe, maintain their independence and take part in the routines and activities that matter to them.

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing practical and emotional support
- Encouraging independence, choice and social engagement
- Supporting everyday routines and activities
- Responding appropriately to changes in a person’s presentation or level of risk
- Following support plans and keeping accurate records
What you’ll need:
- To be aged 18 or over
- At least six months of paid UK experience supporting people with mental health needs, within the last two years
- Previous experience working in mental health care and challenging behaviour
- The right to work in the UK
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, reliable and professional approach
